The intent of this document is to define COVID-19 risk mitigation procedures that will be followed for our business. It is the responsibility of the Kiln Technology management team to ensure that the procedures are communicated and followed by our employees.

Our pandemic response procedures will be communicated to our customers and suppliers via email. In the case of customers, it is the responsibility of the project manager to communicate the procedures. The pandemic response procedures will, at a minimum, be reviewed on an annual basis. The procedures will be reviewed more frequently if further federal guidance is issued regarding pandemic response. A review of the procedures will include amending them to include any lessons learned from the implementation of the current procedures. Training on illness prevention and avoiding the spread of infectious diseases is part of our annual compliance training for our employees. This training is normally conducted in July of each calendar year.

Each employee is responsible for monitoring their own health and will not report to work if they exhibit any of the symptoms defined in the CDC guidelines. Impacted employees will communicate their symptoms to their supervisor or the office manager. Each employee will have their temperature measured when they report to work. If the employee’s temperature is above 100.4F, they will not be allowed to work. Clearance from their doctor will be required before the employee will be allowed to return to work. Each employee should make every attempt to maintain six foot of separation from others while performing their work. If separation cannot be maintained between employees, appropriate respiratory protection will be utilized by the employee. Our standard respiratory protection is a face covering as outlined by the CDC. If a customer requires more stringent measures, we will comply with their measures.

When on a project site, we will comply with the customer’s current COVID-19 requirements and instructions. If our procedures are more stringent than the customers, we will abide by our procedures. Interaction with customer employees will be minimized as much as possible. It is our intention to communicate with only one point of contact as much as feasible. Communication will be done to maintain social distancing guidelines including the use of phones, radios, e-mail or text to minimize contact. If social distancing cannot be maintained, Kiln Technology employees will don appropriate respiratory protection. Jobs will be staffed with the minimum number of employees necessary to safely complete the work. Every attempt will be made to confine tool and equipment use to single employees to prevent the potential for cross-contamination.

Employees that are working at project sites are expected to comply with all federal, state and local regulations governing the response to the pandemic when they are not at the project site. Social distancing and good hygiene practices should be followed when the employee is not on the project site. If an employee feels ill while working at a project site, the employee should not report to work and should notify his supervisor of his symptoms. Arrangements will be made to safely transport the employee home if he cannot return to work. If the employee cannot be safely transported, he will quarantine as necessary until it is safe for him to return home. The testing of the employee will be conducted as necessary. If testing is required, arrangements will be made to have the employee tested at the project location.
